Mimi Winsor is an Artist & Production Designer currently working across film, commercials, television and music videos.
Combining a love of story telling with her background in fine art, Mimi views production design as the bridge between her creative practices. Drawing, painting, building and making things all fuel her hands-on approach to constructing imaginative worlds on screen.
Mimi has Art Directed four internationally acclaimed feature films, including Mogul Mowgli, starring Riz Ahmed, and directed by Bassam Tariq. The film was BAFTA nominated for Outstanding British Film and won the International Critics Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.
In 2019, Mimi was the Set Decorator on The Souvenir, starring Honor & Tilda Swinton alongside Tom Burke. The film was directed by Joanna Hogg, with Martin Scorsese as an Executive Producer. The Souvenir won the Grand Jury World Cinema Dramatic Prize at Sundance Film Festival in 2019 and was nominated for the Best Production Design Award at the British Independent Film Awards in 2019. The following year Mimi reprised her role as a Set Decorator on The Souvenir Part II, which went on to win the Best Production Design BIFA in 2022.
Alongside her work in film, Mimi continues to exhibit her sculptures and installations. The Tate Gallery have commissioned Mimi’s artwork on three occasions, including most recently a project to create and present an interactive workshop for the Tate Kids ‘Make’ series.

Mimi is currently based between London & the South West.
